I stumbled upon this website and was hooked the second I seen it. The 1979 movie Escape from Alcatraz is still one of my all time favorite movies. I seen this movie for the first time when I was only about 10 and watched it over and over. When I found this website all I could think about was that movie, and questions I had about Alcatraz. I recommend this website because it is very informative about the history of Alcatraz, and was able to answer many of the questions that I had. I also think it is a very good website if you are interested in American history, because I know I am. This website was sited well with authors names, and labels on all the pictures. Ah! Unfortunately, the link you posted goes to a different page. However, I think this is a great topic, too. Because it is cited well, too, you might even think of writing a paper based on this topic, using this page as a reference.
