Upon pressing the ever so mysterious stumble button for the first time, I come across artist’s using their unique ability in an unusual place. Most artists’ post their art work in a gallery, museum and sell their art for oodles of money. But! These unique individuals choose to share their artwork where everyone can see and admire. I myself admire these artists’ for their dedication to their art. They are making the streets that are usually plain and same grey vibrant and alive with color and jaw dropping art.
On this web site, the citations are of the best quality. On other hand, the web site does give credit to an author of the photo taker, not of the artist in the photo’s sadly. Anyone who would even be interested in this sort of topic would whole heartedly agree with me that the artist should have some sort of recognition.

I stumbled for almost two hours, before I came across the most adorable animation ever. There are no citations, or any type of information on the website, just this tiny animation of a man wanting to get inside a door that fights with him. This interests me because I like how the artist was not afraid to try and be creative. I recommend this to other people who want to see something cute.

I decided for my last stumble selection to go above the rest, and talk about a drunken sign. I find the picture of a stick man walking drunk very humorous, and it shows that today in our nation or world for that matter, that we are able to have some fun with road signs. Citations on this page are quite decent! I do believe the people w ho made the sign are most likely the handy work of Americas finest.

Singing Camels
This was interesting because I've never seen singins camels before. It was both funny and entertaining. Back in high school I was in the choir and I loved to sing and hear people sing and this really brought back many memories. I would reccomend this page to a classmate if they are interested in animation and music. The sources aren't cited in this page but its still worth while viewing and enjoying. The question that comes across my mind is could've there been another song or melody that would've made the animation funnier.

Kat Von D
I stumbled upon Kat Von D's tattoos. This interests me because I too am plaznning to get a tattoo. She is a real inspiration and her artwork has plenty say say about herself. I personally like the tattoo on her back that saids "Mi Vida" which means my life. Those two words have a very strong meaning. I would reccomend this page to a classmate that loves tattoos and is personally is trying to get a meaningful symbol on they body. The sources are cited on this page, Prick Magazine. My question to the bloggers is do theses tattoos have more meaning to you than just a simple art work ?

I hate space invaders. while stumbling upon this game i died way to quickly and became very annoyed and yelled loudly. this, in turn made my room mate ryan sparks angry so now everybody around me was just as annoid as i was at this paticular game. this game also happens to be the first video game before pinball machines. this may be why i was so inraged.

VIDEEO GAME MUSIC ARCHIVE
http://www.vgmusic.com/
videogame music archive was a very interesting tool i enjoyed using because i was able to also find a program that allowed em to mix my own music. i used popular music from the present and mixed it with video game music from the past and cameup with some really cool songs. this was a fun website i will probably visit again simply for the the original beats and music.
Westen Taylor's Thoughts
Today I stumbled upon these photos of these truly amazing chalk murals done by this guy they call the sidewalk chalk guy (I know, original). his art literally jumps off the pavement at you because it is done with such genius. The illusion is truly deceiving and would have me trying to jump in his chalk pool. The works range from wacky and lighthearted to some that look like Renaissance mosaics. These more serious are kind of thought provoking as well as being beautiful. One depicts tormented souls trying to escape through the sidewalk, reminding me forcibly of depictions Hades. Fortunately the others are not so grim. One of the more fun ones is of a sea lion balancing a candy bar on his nose, really makes you want to grab it.
This guy has not only great talent but equally great courage to go out there in the busy streets and put his work out for everyone to see. When asked why he does he simply replies, "I think art should be out for everyone to enjoy not cooped up in some museum." And I agree; imagine how beautiful our world would be if we just put all the art out there for everyone to see. The artist would probably have a hard time making a living but we could figure something out. See the amazing chalk art for your self.

Rat Eating Plants!
I came across an extremely interesting if not totally disturbing article about a plant found in the Philippines that eats rats. Apparently this bell shape plant attracts its fury victim with a secretion that smells mighty yummy, when the rat scurries in to munch down it is trapped by the secretion and slowly digested alive by the enzymes produced by the plant. I need to get one of these for my backyard because my lazy cat doesn't catch a thing
The plant was discovered on Mount Victoria by a team of British Botanists led by Stewart McPherson and Alastair Robinson. The plant is the largest of pitchers, or bell shaped plants, and probably the largest meat eating shrub. This rat does not look happy but neither would I if was being slowly digested alive by some crazy plant.

Our Amazing Reading Mind
Apparently our minds don't need all the letters in a word to be in the right for us to read it. A study has been done at the Cambridge University that proves the human mind can read words even when they are jumbled as long as the first and last letters are in the right place. It trips you out at first by after looking at the words for a second you realize that you can read them perfectly well. The article goes on to explain that the mind has this amazing power because it does not every single letter individually but the words as a whole. This goes to show amazing our minds truly are. They are our single most powerful and valuable tool. Just think about all the crazy tricks our mind can do that we don't even know about yet. They say we only ten percent of that gray squishy thing, imagine when we tap into the other 90%. I won't need my phone to call you anymore I'll just send you a brain wave. Check this phenomenon out for yourself.

Nutrition and Health
According to Shelley Narula, a good nutrition, besides preventing the risk of so many diseases, can improve your brain function. The brain uses carbohydrates for energy and omega-3 fatty acids to produce its cells structure but these structures can be damaged by free-radicals available in the environment. So antioxidant nutrients like A, C and E vitamins are essential to keep the brain working well and saving people from mental confusion, dizziness and convulsion in severe cases.
Nowadays, people are busy and it ruins a lot of their nutrition once that they don’t have enough time to eat only healthy food. This way, people are eating more fast foods and products created in labs which lose a lot of nutrients in that process.
We all have to find a balance for our nutrition. To eat healthy doesn’t mean that you can not eat everything. You can, but we have to find balance. And more importantly, we have to start working on it in our childhood. That is when our body is being formed. If we only start this process when we are adults it will be much harder because we will have to repair all the damage caused for years.

An Inpiration By Jamara Cook
I stumbled upon an inspirational graffiti picture of Obama. The picture has a quote that states "I am asking you not to believe in my ability to bring about real change in Washington. I'm asking you to believe in yours." I feel in this quote he is saying that he can not do it alone. In order to get real change he will need to American people to take a stand. Obama is saying i have the power to make a change, but i need the help and support of my country to do so. He want the country to succeed and climb out of the hole we are in now. My fellow students should take a good look at this picture and see what they get out of it. Will your oppion be the same as mine? Or will they see something different?

The short essay was about two students taking it upon themselves to stop bullying at their school. They felt that everyone had the right to wear what they wanted and no one should define their character from their appeal. The two boy took a leadership role in helping someone become a victim of bullying. What they did is got the whole school involved to make a difference and stand up for what they believe is right. I would advise my peers to read this short story because there's a message inside. The message is that it's ok to step up and help someone in need. My question to all is would you be the one to help out in any situation that does not involve you?

My first two entries were about people who has made a difference in some body's life so i decide to do this on a lighter note. I don't know what the animal is but it is getting a belly rube. The animal is so happy when the person is rubbing its belly. Its eyes light up like a Christmas tree and it has a little smile on its face. That just show that every creature can enjoy the simple thing in life. The little pleasures make a difference. I would like others to look at this video because it is so cute! My question to all is does the simple things in life matter to you? Or do you take it for granted?

I heard of a lot of females rapper before, but not Roxanne's revenge. Back in the days it was said that she sold 250,000 copies in New York City alone. She was actually hip-hop first female rapper. The only reason she don't share the same spotlight as many other females artists is because she stop rapping. She stop rapping because of the lying, cheating of her of her money and cause of a broken heart. It been said that; everything happen for a reason. you may not see it at the time but it does. when she stop rapping want to school. The music label had to pay for schooling cause that was in the sign contact. At the end of everything she was able to get her PH.D in psychology. In my opinion I think my classmates need to read this because it show that you can outcome anything that is in your way.

This article was interesting to me because I like astronomy and like to learn stuff about the stars and space. The article mentions that scientists have found another galaxy beyond our own that has a black hole that is 100 million times the mass of our sun. Also one philosopher had said that the black hole doesn't suck things in but it pushes them out. That's something I learned from this article. I would recommend this site for my classmates because it tells us partially that there are other galaxies out there and gives us a little bit of information so we could know more then just about our own galaxy. The sources are at the bottom of the page and sited to where you know where they got the information from at least. My question to scientists is what is on the other side of the black holes in space? The only problem with my question is no one has been able to go out and find out and come back. Black holes that I have found out just lead to the abyss.

http://www.physorg.com/newman/gfx/news/2-venus.jpg
I liked this small article about Venus because as I mentioned before I like astronomy. This one was interesting because scientists are still confused about what happened on the planets' surface to make the spot visible to astronomers. Some think it could be from a meteor collision and others think it could be from a series of other events. This is a good short article to read if you don't like to read a whole lot and if you like to learn about the planets. The source is listed at the beginning of the article, well the website it first came from. Why couldn't they just send a robot to Venus like they did to Mars to find out what is causing the spot to expand and also find out what the spot is contained of?

This article was interesting to me because I think most of it is true. Everyone expects a lot from teens. What I learned was apparently the expectations are more for girls rather than guys. I would recommend this to not only a classmate but also to a teacher or parent. Most teens feel overstressed and trying to reach parents or teachers expectations have a big part of the students' thoughts and mental preperation. The sites were cited pretty good on this article. There were no pictures on it. My question about this topic is why are the expectiations so high for teens and young adults?
Teacher Blogs Too!
My first stumble this week was about the Kakapo parrots, a parrot that is a lot like the kea parrot, if I remember correctly from my ornithology class with our own Dr. Skeate. At least these birds are from the same country as keas (New Zealand) and are also flightless as well. Keas are like raccoons of the bird world. I heard a story about one of these parrots getting into someone's backpack, eating a candy bar and dying. Since the parrots are rare, this was not good news for the owner of the backpack! If I wanted to find out more about Kakapos, the site has a "news and links" section; if I wanted to use the information in a paper, though, I would site the webpage because they are claiming the information as their own.
I stumbled upon Life Explained next. Any feminist would have a research paper of more than twenty pages created upon this webpage alone. My own contention with the humor of "man=simple" and "woman=complex" is that our culture imposes this attitude upon us. Perhaps this is how it looks on the outside, but I know that the inside of both machines are just as complex as the other.
My third stumble unearthed Planets, no pun intended. This kind of webpage always excites me because it involves interactive learning. The main point of the site was to demonstrate that the rotations of planets looks very different to us on earth than it does on the solar system model that places the sun at the center. From our earth-centric point-of-view, the path of the planets takes on a spirograph motion, with spirals of motion called Retrograde Motion. I also learned that the distance between the sun and the earth is called an Astronomical Unit. I find that I'm always more likely to remember information that is presented to me in an interactive way like this. What I wish to know now is what spirographic pattern do the other planets make around us? I would like a poster of the patterns they all create. I'm pretty sure this would be cited as an original source because the person who created the site must have created the interactive tutorial as well.

This is actually very interesting way to cook, and could help if you are camping or just lose electricty, although i wouldn't suggest this in the dorms. It is how to create a mini stove out of a can, using simple products but im sure most of us could do this easily. I would recommend this to anyone because it seems to be very easy.
I found this site about downloading music online to save the planet instead of buying CD's. Carnegie Mellon University and Stanford University has done a study and buying music online helps cuts carbon emissions by 40% to 80%.
