Scientists found a small look a like skeleton of the t rex in Northeast China. The tiny Raptorex lived tens of millions of years before the T rex. It lives about 125 million years ago. The small raptorex has a lot of the same similarties as the T rex. They both had a big skulll compared to their bodies. They also had powerful jaw with short arms and long legs. Both of these animals had a great sense of smell. The tiny raptorex was one one hunderedth of the size of the T rex. The raptorex will be put on display in a musem in Mongolia.

The bugular died at the scene before the police arrived. The burgular had a criminal history and was released from prison the saturday before. The student who stabbed the man does not know if he is going to be charged for killing the man. The night before burgulars stole two lap tops and a Playstation from the house.

Is It Better To Be a Jock Or A Nerd...? -Bradley King-Stumble Upon

This page was very interesting because I realized how much money Micheal Jordan makes, when he going to a movie, goes out for dinner, watching the 100 meter dash , and so on. I recommend this page to anyone that goes to work everyday and makes nothing compared to Micheal Jordan. But what was truly amazing is that if MJ saved 100% of his income for 450 years he would still have less money Bill Gates has today. This page was not cited at all. After reading this I only have one question, how much money does Bill Gates have?

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#2kv3Rl/www.digitalpicturezone.com/digital-pictures/30-colorful-examples-of-high-speed-bullet-photography//

I chose this stumble because I was amazed with the cool slow motions pictures. I think its amazing how the pictures can show you how the bullet impacts the object. I would show this to a classmate because its interesting and cool how you can get a picture like that in slow motion. After looking over this web page I would like to ask how many pictures a second does the camera take that took these pictures.

I chose this stumble because weather pictures are so cool and unpredictable. I would recommend this to a person who is into that storm chaser stuff. These pictures are showing how destructive weather can be. The sources on this page are cited good and give you info to get to the original sources.

This stumble was selected because I think it is interesting how you can make a one picture look or appear totally different from the original. I would show this to my classmates because its something cool , and it shows you how to make new pictures. This page was cited very well it sends you to another page that has its stuff cited well.

1. Cyanide and Happiness

What interested me about the web page is the humor behind the comic. Although it was a comic, it had a message behind it. The message to me was that you can do anything that you put your mind too. I would recommend a classmate to view this page because they may need some inspiration. You will be amazed at what you can do sometimes. The sources were cited well on the web page. A question that I have about the topic is if there are more comics related to the topic?!

What interested me about the web page was the funny story that it contained. I have worked at a pet store so I know what dog foods are better than others. Just the fact that the lady asked her if she had a dog seeing that she had dog food in her hand was funny to me. I would recommend this to a classmate because one it is funny and another reason is that it is good to know that there are dog foods that are better than others and you should see which dog food is best for your dog. A question that I have about the page is if this is a true story or not?!

1.What interested me about the web page was the picture that is showed. I would recommend this to a classmate if they wanted something funny to look at. The animals look like they were shocked or surprised about something. The sources were cited well on the page. A question I have about the web page is what were the animals looking at?!

Melvin- Helium- Textbooks

For this Helium blog, I am reviewing the topic “Finding Cheap College Textbooks.” I found the highest rated article very helpful and informative. It gives great tips on how to save money buying textbooks and how to make more money selling them. The higher rate article was very detailed and extremely informative. It included websites that would buy back text books, the article even list what countries the websites accepted payment from. This author was very straight forward with her answers and followed a clear structure. The lowest rated article was still informative, but not very straight forward. There is a lack of structure; it almost feels like the person wrote the paper as like they would speak. Not to mention that there are a lot of misspelled words and grammatical errors. If I where to write an essay on this topic, I would try to be as clear and informative as possible. I believe that the clearer and easier the essay is, the more helpful it will be to the audience.

I thought this was interesting because these pictures were of animals I haven't seen before. I would recommend a classmate look at this page because they probably haven't seen these animals either. It isn't cited that well, however, they have a link you can click on to view their main page. I want to know what each one of these species are called. I would further research these animals if I knew the name of them.

I thought this was interesting this chimpanzee takes care of various cubs for this organization that breeds tigers, lions, and leopards. I would reccomend a classmate view this page because it is interesting how animals will take care of each other, no matter what species they are. The resources are cited well for this page. I would like to know how many animals this chimp has raised. I would research this organization to answer my question.
I thought this was interesting because somehow people took pictues of all these animals sleeping without them waking up. I would reccomend a classmate view this page if they want to see something that will make them laugh. The sources are not cited well. My question is how did they take the pictures without waking up the animal.

This entry was interesting it would give you an option on an energy drink and ask for your weight. After it calculated it would give the amount that would kill you. I found out that if I drink 153.56 cans of red bull that that would kill me. I would recommend this to energy drinkers to be careful the amount they consume.

This article was just for fun. It was a guideline for cats??? It tells cats what to do. I found this interesting because I'm wondering how and when did they come up with this article. I would recommend this to a cat lover. The source cited was James S Huggins.

Lauren Blake Proffitt- StumbleUpon- Unusual Date Ideas

I really liked this site because I have been dating the same person for four years and we have ran out of things to do on dates. These also seem to be a way to really get to know the other person. You could never really get to know your date by going to the movies. By doing some of these ideas two people could really talk with each other. I recommend this site to anyone that is bored with the same old repeat dates. I don't think this site needs citations. I wonder how many people have done any of these things before.

Lauren Blake Proffitt- StumbleUpon- We are all on the dark side.

This was incredibly interesting to me. I found out a lot about myself and other people. I always thought that I would be the good Samaritan and be the one to never conform but now I'm not so sure what I would do. I am not different from everyone else in the world so what makes me think that I would stop to help a lady lying in the road or not knowingly torture a person just because I was afraid of what would happen to me. I would recommend this site to anyone who thinks they would always be the hero and always do what is right. I think this site was probably cited very well but I'm just not sure where to look. I leave you with this. If real or fake, would you conform? Would you Do what is right?

2. The topics I have thought about from the blog writing I have read were dogs, architecture, animals in general, interesting videos, and different types of phrases.
3. Stumble is helpful as a prewriting tool because you get to look at articles under a topic that interests you. It also helps you show others what interests you. There were a lot of stumble blogs that were interesting to me but the top three blogs were by Jacob Darling, Ryan Sparks and Eric Jackson. The stumble by Jacob Darling was about puppies. I liked this one because I am interested in learning as much as I can about dogs. The stumble by Ryan Sparks was about Einstein le perroquet, a car, and birthday facts. The perroquet was amusing and I did not think a perroquet could learn that much. The car is unnatural and it looks like it is turned sideways. I would like to know the same thing that Ryan Sparks would like to know about this car, how does it work? The birthday facts was interesting because I did not know I could find out that much about my birthday. The stumble by Eric Jackson was about an interesting phrase, a blooper video and a museum of architecture. The phrase was interesting and true. The video was funny and very distracting to someone who is trying to write and watch at the same time. The museum was really cool. I liked all the windows and the construction of the building. It is interesting because it is not something you would see in everyday society.
4. I read a lot of helium blogs but there were only three that stuck out as saying something about writing elements. The three blogs were by Derk Bouwman, Kayla Caldwell, and Young koun Jeon. Derk Bouwman's blog shows that it would be useful to create a mnemonic to remember things. I agree with this. In the article, it shows how helpful it is. Kayla Caldwell's blog shows that a good way to write an essay is to write it as a play. That is also helpful and it proves helpful in the article also. According to Young koun Jeon, having good grammar and vocabulary are important when writing and understanding an essay. This is also true because if the reader cannot understand the essay then they will not pay any attention to it.
5. I think it helps others to know what you interested in. I think it also helps others to see if you have anything in common with them. I would rather blog like we have been doing rather than writing an essay everyday in class or for homework every night about things that do not interest anyone.

Lauren Blake Proffitt- StumbleUpon- Reality Winnie the Pooh

This to me is a very interesting representation of the innocence of children. It makes me think about how children do not see the evil in the world. Not that I am saying animals are evil just that this is only and artistic representation of it. If you were to tell an adult that you were going to put a bear, a pig. a tiger, a rabbit, and a donkey together they would never think that the animals would be best of friends as it is in the television show "Winne the Pooh". An adult would think of something close to the scenario above. This is because this would be a way more likely outcome but would it not be nice to still think like a child; to be innocent and not see the bad in things. I would suggest this to a class mate because I would like them to think about what this means to how we are raised to see things. I also, can't help but wonder how the pig crawled up there and is hanging onto the bear.

Whilst stumbling I came across an album of the earth. At first it looks like a map, however you can click on whatever county you wish to and then look at pictures of cities, food, mountain and sunset. This is a pretty cool website because you get to view the world and see pictures which represent key facts of a certain country.

www.wisebread.com/travel-resources/
Next I StumbledUpon a website which was called “Wisebread”. This website was set up to for people living on small budgets and still wanting a “large” lifestyle. I found this website good due to the fact being a student there are many different money issues that may occur, especially as I have English bank accounts and trying to exchange money. Furthermore it gives you great tips for saving money when buying flights, accommodation and also I found a section which allows you to do Home Exchange. This I found very interesting because I’ve seen the movie “The Holiday” and didn’t realise this was actually possible to do.
www.cardtoss.com
Finally I stumbled on a Card game site. This was a lot different than the other websites I had found and it gave me a chance of playing a game and having fun. Basically you had different games but the default game was to throw a card into a magicians’ hat, I managed to get to level 3. Also you can get different card games such as poker.

ROCHA Stumbleupon Environment

This week I read about “The environmental impact of cell phones” and I think it is an interesting subject because 61% of the Earth’s population have a cell phone. The average use of each one of these phones is only one year and the energy we use to charge our phones and the CO2 emission are high numbers. So we have to think a little bit more about the environment and start recycling our phones and not letting our chargers remain plugged in while not being used in order to diminish the energy wasted. So, taking care of these little things can help our planet and in one year we will have saved enough energy to power 28 thousand homes.

ROCHA helium education

In Helium, this week, I chose to read about how much parents should be involved in kid’s homework. That is an interesting topic because we had this experience as children and most of us will be on the other side, as parents. The best article was the best one because the woman who wrote it knew how to organize her ideas well and was able to show her points of view very clearly. She argues well to defend her position. I also read an intermediate article and it is probably an intermediate one because the ideas are more confused and who wrote it gave only one example about the topic in the whole text. For me it is not the best way to convince someone about something. The worse article, according to the Helium website, has informal language and maybe that is why it was ranked as the worse one. If I was to write about this topic I would say that parents have to be involved in kid’s homework as far as they can and they think it is necessary.

One thing I found interesting about this picture that I came across while stumbling this morning was the attitude and opinions of many American’s today. This picture implies that Americans consider their country the greatest in the world. I would recommend this to a classmate who was interested in some humour about the USA. The sources aren’t cited very well in this stumble, a question about this topic is why do Americans perceive their country the best in the world?

My first link is a web comic that I have been a fan of for awhile and honestly stumble brought up a page I have forgotten about. I'm using this as my picture because its funny and also mostly true. I know at least a few people have noticed how crazy squirrels are on college campuses.

This next page is just text but it shows the stupidity that can happen when tech support is called. I'll leave it to you to see why I'm posting this.

For my last page I have a site called sign spotting. If you couldn't tell by the name its a website with random pictures of signs. I would have taken my picture from here until I found surviving the world.

What I liked about this blog was it told me all the facts about the day I was born and information that I didn't know. I would recommend it to my classmates all the time so they could see what happened on their birthday. I want to know how they find all the informaton so fast and get it back to you.

When I stumbled upon this I thought it was pretty cool because someone had to take the time to build it. I would recommend it to my classmates who are into building or lego's. My question for this stumble woud be how many legos did it take them to build this whole thing?, and how long did it take them to build the whole thing?

When I stumbled upon this I had to stop and look at all the puppies in the slideshow. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a cute dog to adopt or who just likes to look at the cute puppies. My question would be did people send the pictures in to the site for people to look at or are they in an adoption home?

It’s realizing that you don’t need certain people and their crap.” This is a very bold quote. It teaches one in life that even though some people are very important but you don’t necessarily need them. I would recommend this to a class mate that need to get over someone because it has helped me very much. The author of this quote is unknown which is unfortunate because I’m sure that he or she has many great other quotes. A question I have about this quote is why isn’t it east to get over someone ha?
