Blog Review... Nicole Nixon

Some of the most interesting blogs I read were by Bradley King and Justin Katz. They both wrote about topics that interested themselves and me as a reader. I liked Bradley’s blogs about Michael Jordan and the Australian pole-vaulter; they both were about sports which I am interested in and about how much money athletes make. It also made me think about how I am trying to play right now with an injured knee and how I want to try to push through it just like the Australian gold medalist did in the summer Olympics, and hearing Brad’s own personal experience of how he ran track during an injury, a broken ankle at that, for three whole months added a little something extra to it that most of the students that have posted blogs on the website do not have. It drew me in even more to hear his own accomplishments. Justin’s blog about the crazy animal pictures made me want to go to the page and actually see the pictures he was describing. He gave good descriptions of the pictures and in that he even drew me into actually taking the time to go look at the pictures. I now want to write more about athletes and the money they make by playing sports. Stumble helps when it comes to prewriting because it gives you topics to write about. When you write an essay on helium most of my fellow classmates notice the grammar that is used in the posts and how people cite their pages and just give good details. I also noticed that many of the blogs have not used correct grammar and have had some mistakes in their posts, including mine. But I believe that the mistakes are what you need to notice so that you yourself will get better. I think that blogging has helped me a lot when it comes to writing because it has helped me get ideas to write about and helped me actually want to start writing and work on papers because its giving me practice by making me review other peoples blogs.
