"Best of the Blogs" Blog

I looked over my fellow classmates' blogs and now my head is swimming with mostly useless information about various websites. However there was one that stood out and, although not really useful, was very interesting. It did not say who published it but it was about the Pentagon's explorations into giving machine the discretion to pull the trigger or not. It went on to give the pros and cons and conclude that it is a bad idea. I whole heartedly agree with his/her conclusion. Giving the machines that responsibility is like giving weed whacker the choice to cut plants or your dog. The choice to kill or not is highly complicated and morally difficult choice that should never be made without emotional ties to the human race. This is some Terminator stuff they are dealing with and they should tread carefully. Another blog that stood out was Lauren Proffit's blog on an article that showed the darker side of the human psyche. These psychological experiments showed us everyday human beings to be capable of very evil things. She's right; it made me question who I am and what I would do in those situations.
I would love to write maybe a persuasive essay about those robots the Pentagon is looking at. it would be easy to write since I am very passionate about the subject. Another writing idea would be writing about the ethics of defending one's property with lethal force. This also could be a persuasive essay.
Stumble has definitely proven to be a very useful prewriting tool. It gets my imagination fired up and gives me a wide and diverse idea pool. The randomness of the websites always keeps me guessing and never fails to pull up a site that I am passionate to write about. That is the most important thing for my writing and as far as prewriting tools go Stumble is one of the best.
After looking over my fellows' Helium blogs I think the most important element to an essay to them is the structure and flow of the essays. These are important elements and they seem to pay the most attention to these overall.
As much as I hate to admit it blogging has been a very helpful tool for tool for my writing. Writing is important to practice and blogging has me writing at least three times a week. It also allows me to see others' writings and their techniques. Blogging has been very useful and effective in my writing.
