I reviewed a prompt that ask the question is Facebook hazardous to your career? By reading about this topic I learned that Facebook or and other social networking websites such as Myspace can be very hazardous to your career. I also learned that there are ways to protect yourself by using offered privacy settings. In the top essay the author started out by explaining why people make, and use social networking websites. The author gave reasons such as trying to stay in touch with high school or college friends, or just a way to me others. The author then gave vivid details on ways you can get into hazardous problems. Such as going out one night and your friend taking inappropriate pictures of you and then uploading them onto there Facebook page.. Although the pictures are not on your page, they are still posted elsewhere on the network. Which makes the pictures open for anyone including your employer to view, which could cost you your job. For the lesser essays wrote, first off the grammar was not the best which made the essays hard to understand at times. The author also repeats the same idea throughout the essay so you didn't exactly get any new information, just got it in different words. If I were going to write an essay on this prompt I would start out, by stating first off that any social networking site can be hazardous to your career. I would want to get that point across right away to get the attention of my readers.
