Frazier, Stumble, Pictures

I stumble upon this first article, and I thought it was so funny. Who ever came up with this invention has a lot of time on thier hands. I would recommend this to any of my classmates who just need a good old laugh. The page was cited pretty good, and a question I would have is how long did it take for the inventor to come up with these ideas.

I stumble upon this amazing picture, and it made me think of how beautiful fall/autumn can be. This time of the season the leaves start to change different colors. It's like the combination of all these things that make the pretty color that we love and enjoy in the fall. I would recommend this to any of my classmates who love the outdoor and the changing of the seasons. I page was not cited at all. A question I would ask is where is this pictures taken at.

I came across this pictures, and was so shock that somebody came up with such an wonderful idea. There were a lot more art painting made with hands such as a bald eagle, lion, and many more. I would recommend this to any of my classmates who are really interested in the art field. The page was not cited very well, and a quesiton I would have is how long did it take to paint the dog hand painting.

poindexter stumble

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#17AdSg/pomonahistorical.org/12times.htm/topic:Mathematics

i thought this was an interesting stumble. the lady in the picture was able to fold a sheet of paper 12 times. its interesting because most people can not fold a sheet of paper more then 7 or 9 times.i have tried and it does not work. she did this by finding the exact equations that will allow you to fold a sheet of paper more then seven or eight times.
i have seen some weird wedding before but i think this is the most unique wedding entrance i ever seen..it was so funny just seeing every dance and how they choreographed it. its different and i think its interesting.
this stumble is kind of creeping but interesting to. its creepy because of how it looks and what they call it. they called this creature Smeagol which was the name of a hobbit from the lord of the rings. f anyone have seen this movie the pictures that are show on this website do remind you of this creature. and its so weird because it is a fictional character. it was found in Cerro Azul, Panama, by for 14- 16 year old boys that was playing by the water. i thought this was an interesting blog because just when you thought you knew everything that's on this earth, there is always something new that appears.

Stumble Upon ;; Katey Medlin

Natures Conception
I liked this one because all the pictures are really amazing. Its amazing moments caught on camera. I would like to see something like that in my life time. I think anyone who wants to see something amazing should look at this link. Its not really cited. My questions about the pictures are, how are you able to catch something like that on tape.

The 10 Most Disturbing Books of All time
This is interesting because it has a list of all the books with the cover of the book and a summary of the book. I like this because I would like to read some of these books just to see how good they really are. Any one who likes to read would enjoy looking over this. I believe its cited really well, because it has everything about the book on there. My question is why are these the most disturbing out of everything.

Parking Garage
I found this interesting because its not something that you would see in every day parking garage. I would like to see something like this my self. I think that it would be very interesting to get in the right angel and read all of the words. This project won several international design awards. Its not really cited. And my question is who had the idea to do this and how did they manage to get all the letters in the right angel to say what it says.

Gooding-Stumble-Alarm Clocks

_3713-puzzle-alarm-clock.jpghttp://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#1iGmrz/www.uberreview.com/2006/03/top-ten-most-annoying-alarm-clocks.htm//

Everyone hates getting up in the morning. I know I do. So when your alarm goes off for that 8 o'clock class, you probably hit the snooze button a couple of times. Well not with these alarm clocks. These 10 alarm clocks have been rated the most annoying at there. And after reading the description I have to agree. It was really interesting to see some of these alarm clocks and read how they worked. I never realized how many different types of alarm clocks and how extreme some people make them to be able to get up in the morning. I would recommend this stumble to any classmate who is looking for a new alarm clock and wants one that will defiantly get them up in the morning. This is also good for any classmate who wants to come up with their own business idea and thinks they have a good idea for a new alarm clock. This site is cited a little but not a lot. I think a question I would have to ask would be; How did you come up with this alarm clock idea? I think that if I did any further research it would be to purchase some of these alarm clock and see which one did the best to wake me up.

Garbage bags+subway air= art? I wouldn't have thought so either until I watched this stumble video. Joshua Harris creates real inflatable art using just tape garbage bags and the air created by subways. I loved watching this video and seeing how it worked. It was amazing to me how he was able to use the simplest of things and make living, moving, and ordinary art. I think what I liked the most was how it just looked like ordinary trash but when the subway went by the "trash" came to life. I think that any classmate who loves to see really easy to do and cool art would love this page. I also believe that any classmate who just likes to see really cool videos would love this. The site is not really cited. I think my one question would be; How did you come up with the idea for this art?

I don't know about you but I personally have a bittersweet feeling about storms. I love to watch them and they are really beautiful, but I also hate to be stuck in them and I feel like a tree will fall on my house any moment. This stumble was really intresting to me becuase I've never seen storms like this. They are both terrifing and amazing at the same time. I hope I never have to see storms like this but if I do I know i will try to get as many picture of them as I can. I think that any classmate who is interesting in weather or just wants to see some picture of mother natures fury, then this would be the stumble for them. The site is cited a little. I think my question would be; Where did these storms happen?

I stumbled across this sink design and thought it is very unique. It is new technology but they use the design from a 400 million year old species, cephalopods. It is crazy how they take the designs of so long ago and turn it into something useful now. I would recommend this site to new interior decors interested in using unique designs. The sources are not given for this site, the maker is unknown. This sink is very nice and unique however is seems to take up way to much space. Would this sink design cause an excessive use of water?

http://interesting-world.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/mother-nature-19.jpg
I came across this picture. I look at it as the perfect “fall” photo. This is an epic change in nature that is creative in its own way. What is interesting to me about this is how perfect things can occur in nature. I would recommend this to a class mate that loves nature as much as I do and the color of sun fire orange. This spectacular photo was taken by an unknown photographer. One question I have is why do the actual leaves change colors?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/6229243/Million-to-one-apple-is-half-red-half-green.html
You do not hear of one in a million happening very often, but with this apple it did. This apple genetically mutated to produce one half green and a perfect line down the middle to separate it from the other red half. This occurred in Ken Morrish’s garden that he has been maintaining for 45 years. A question I have is why haven’t farmers used this mutation to create this apple all the time as a delicious treat?

Lauren Blake Proffitt- StumbleUpon- How to be a Successful Evil Overlord

I find this site interesting because it is very true. Every flaw that an evil overlord has ever made is listed here. I recognize many of these flaws from famous movies. I recommend this site to any nerd looking for a good laugh and possibly anyone who is looking to be an evil overlord. There are on sources cited. How heartless would someone have to be to actually follow these instructions?

Lauren Blake Proffitt- StumbleUpon- College Paper

I found this article rather interesting because I have been dealing with something similar to this scenario all day. I have been putting off homework for hours now. My room mate has even called me out on it a couple of times. I recommend this site to anyone who is procrastinating their homework like I am. It made me finally look things in the eye and get started. There are no sources cited. Is there any cure for procrastination?

Helium Blog Emily Guenthner 9-30

The topic of the essays that I read was Hospital errors: What the patient doesn't know might hurt. I learned that errors happen very often in hospitals across the nation but nothing happens because the public is kept in the dark. They do this for one reason and one reason only if the public knew of all the errors they would be less likely to go to the hospital and then hospitals would lose millions of dollars. The best essay that I read had a lot of things going for it; there were loads of clear cut facts and personal experience. The overall flow of the essay was great easy to read and understand. The worst essay that I read had several problems that I noticed first a for most was the flow, I had the hardest time reading through this essay, the ideas were scattered and poorly put together. If I was going to write an essay on this topic, I would be sure to have the flow of the essay smooth and understandable. I would give the facts but still keep a balance of firsthand knowledge.

Stumble Emily Guenthner 9-26

I stumbled upon these wonderful photographs of these horses that were made from drift wood, that this lady would find on the beach. I found this to be interesting, because it takes a lot of time and effort to create these fine works of art. I would recommend this website to any of my class mates who love horses. I feel that they would really enjoy this. The sources are sited okay on this page, I mean they could be better. I only want to know, Why someone would take drift wood to make an art piece?
This page that I stumbled upon is incredible I could not even believe what I was watching. It was this mind blowing Mario level. I mean wow, the best part of all was the fact that you just had to watch it happen, you didn't even need to play. I think that any of my nerdy class mates would enjoy this page or anyone who likes Mario. The sources were poorly sited on this page, you need to pout in a lot of effort to find them. I want to know if this is a real level in a Mario game or just a fake one?
The page that I did a stumble on, was a page that had a timeline of all of the historical events that had happened throughout the years. I think that this is really cool and interesting at the same time. I feel that anyone of my class mates would enjoy looking up events that happened throughout history. I could find the sources very easily on this page. I wonder if all of these events really happened or if they were just added in?

Melvin- Stumble- High Heels

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#2pPyIx/www.highheelshoemuseum.com//

What girl doe not love shoes!!! I personally have a huge collection and love every pair. The High Heel Shoe Museum showcases hundreds of unique shoes. I would recommend this to anyone who loves shoes, even just a little bit, or someone who is looking for that perfect shoe to go with the perfect dress. If you click on a shoe you like, it will take you to the website where you can buy the shoes. I would like to know more history about high heels. I think that if the website included a section that discussed the history and making of high heels that it would be interesting. So far this is one of my favorite websites I have stumbled upon so far.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#1WhMHB/www.theatrehistory.com//

Theater History.com breaks down the history of theater as an art form. It offers a description of theater in many different countries, an online script achieve, and a book store with suggested readings. I would recommend this website to all my fellow performing arts majors or anyone how just has a love for theater. The articles are cited very well and seem to be a reliable resource. I would like to know if the monologues they offer are from an actual play or monologue books. It is often frond upon when an actor performs a monologue with out reading the entire play first.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#45QINW/www.for-ballet-lovers-only.com//

The title says it all, For Ballet Lovers Only. This blog includes pictures, articles, and reviews of world famous ballet companies. Anyone how loves ballet needs to know about this blog and comment on its post. This blog showcases ballet in its most beautiful form with the worlds most famous ballerinas performing. The blog gives credit where credit is due. I would like to know how the author got permission to use some of the photos or how she was able to get such intimate ones of the dancers backstage.

Best of Bloggs-Grayson Avery

Now not only is my blog about other people's blogs but it is also about procrastionation. I will honestly say i waited til the night before to do this, but I think that with doing so it brought out the best blog I have written so far. I am writing about peoples blogs that they wrote for this assignment about others blogs. After reading these articals I have noticed how people have been judging people's blogs and what they write about. The main person that sticks out in my head is Bradley King. He wrote his blog on a blog he had read about winnie the pooh. The main reason this sticks out to me is that, even though we are in college, and most of us are over the age of 18. It amazes me that some of us can still seem to find simple pleasures in life. now the blog he wrote about wasn't about just the show on but how it would be portaid now in this time and day. This article showed that a common name can lead to things people would never imagine.
Another topic that stuck out to me, was food and weight loss. It seems that most of the people that are blogging seem to have and absetion with how different foods will make you loose weight. I also noticed a lot of people choosing their friends blogs to write about, this made the articles rather boring when reading them. I also found it rather intertaining how many people wrote about blogs that were made up of mostly pictures. sure pictures are nice but we need to read every once in awhile. The last thing that i saw was the amount of blogs containing booze was extremely high. Now there isn't anything wrong with it but it was interesting to see the amount of people writing about beer.

best of the blogs- Will Lampley

After reviewing my classmates blogs I thought the blogs with the pictures were the best, the description of the pictures as well with the questions makes the blogs more interesting. Especially the pictures of the animals in stumble upon, those pictures were pretty interesting. I thought that the blogs with the pics were the ones that most stood out, and also brought out a WOW in me, I thought those were the best blogs and it gave more description as well as a visual to the blog, which makes those blogs the best. I have gained a lot of new topic ideas for my future blogs, I'm probably gonna write about the ones with the pictures cause I like those the best. Stumble is very helpful to me as a prewriting tool because it gives me new ideas to write about. Stumble has a lot of new and interesting ideas to write about, and I find it very helpful in my writing. Important elements in successful writing of essays in Helium and stumble give lots of new ideas, and good descriptions to help out in writing an essay. Helium and stumble are very useful tools with writing, and it seems that stumble upon is the most helpful, it gives pictures as well as descriptions to certain articles. Blogging is a very effective tool for my writing, it gives me new ideas and well as descriptive and very interesting ideas, and it makes it possible to share with all my other classmates what i have learned.

Cheyanne Small "best of the blogs"

After reading the blogs that my classmates have posted I've learned a lot about each individual. I find the blogs to be interesting to me; I like to see what kinds of things grab my classmate’s attention. I've found a few blogs that are my favorite, one was posted by Taylor Scheetz, I always find her blogs interesting because she writes about things that I would probably write about in my blogs. I also think that Halee Hartley’s blogs are good because she when she blogs she always puts it in a format that makes you want to keep reading. Reading these different types of blogs it makes me see how I can improve my blogs the next time. When I do my blogs it helps when I write about things that catch my eye and by doing these blogs every week I feel it helps with my writing skills. I’ve read many of the blogs that are posted and after reading some of them it is obvious to me that my classmates think that staying within the topic and organization is the key to a successful Helium.

Rocha "the best of the blogs"

After read my classmates’ blogs I was surprised about how much I learned. There are so many interesting blogs. Stumbleupon has a lot of good articles that bring great information for us about many different subjects.
The one that like most was “Baby denied medical treatment and handed back to his mother to die”, wrote by Hartley. The baby was born at 21 weeks and the British law does not allow trying to save babies born before 22 weeks. So the baby died in his mom arms. It is a really sad story. Probably the worst thing in the world is to see your son dying. I can’t even imagine what his mother felt at that moment seeing the equipment that could have saved her son’s life right next to them but no one trying to do anything. I think this law shouldn’t exist. No matter how many weeks the baby was born early or how developed he is, who can, should help taking care of him.
I was also interested about the article that Bradley King wrote about Michael Phelps’ diet. That is amazing! I never thought that someone could eat this much. 12000 calories is ten times what most people eat every day.
I believe writing and reading other peoples blogs helped me a lot on these three weeks. I could improve my ability to write a little bit and I learned a lot about many different topics.

Best of the Blogs - Dache'

Best of the Blogs

One of the most interesting blogs to me was the blog that I wrote on plastic surgery. I chose this as one of my favorites because it was a deep topic to get in to. I feel that plastic surgery is a major cause of some deaths. Anything could go wrong once you get on that table. From patients having a heart attack, to patients hyperventilating. Lots of famous people feel that these procedures are necessary, which is really wrong. These procedures are very deadly and should be well thought out before taking the step.
Another interesting blog that I’ve read was about the baby that was born to it’s mother at 21 weeks. This was really sad. What made me think a lot was the fact that the doctors didn’t try to save it. It must have been dreadful as a mother to watch her tiny 21 week old baby die right in her arms. I feel that the doctors should have at least tried to help the poor woman and her poor baby. This was blogged about by Halee Hartley.
Many people have given me ideas for future papers. I have agreed to try and stumble upon more intense websites, like instead of settling for the first few stumbles, I will search more harder and try to find topics that discuss news (world). I will also try to find more diverse sites, like about animals and aliens, so that I can write ore edgier blogs.
Using stumble upon is very helpful as a prewriting tool because it gives you tons of ideas and topics to write about, it also allows one to receive insight on why sources should be cited when doing a stumble upon blog. The most important elements in creating a helium according to my classmates is reading the article, and writing about the articles being sure to include major details about the article.
I think that blogging is very amazing. It has effected me in so many ways, it makes me appreciate writing more and it allows me to learn more about internet sites that I’ve never seen before.

Brittany Bowers- Best of the blogs!

As I read many of the blogs from my fellow classmates I noticed a good deal of things. Most of the posts were quite interesting, since they were using stumble, of course it was something unique. Stumbleupon has helped with prewriting because it opens your mind up to other ideas then just things inside the box. With stumble you’re able to see stuff in a random perspective, which helps you with prewriting. Emily Guenthner, I believe had a very good flow to her writing and good technique with a few of her writings. Also as I have been reading what my classmates have wrote, it seems to make a good successful paper for Helium you need a number of qualities. Of course those qualities would be: good technique, flow, grammar, and make sure you keep in line with your topic and don’t stay away to something completely random. As for blogging as a tool for writing and prewriting, I like it. Knowing that someone else is reading something I wrote about someone else (Or something else). Makes it interesting to me, for one main reason is because it makes me want to try harder at making sure all of my writing seems easy to read and interesting. Unlike research papers or any of the sort, because with research papers I tend to just unleash an unholy amount of listing. As I wrap this blog up, my last comments I would like to say about blogger and stumble, is that I believe they are an excellent prewriting technique for beginning or even experienced writers. It makes you open your mind to a more wide range of things that usually you would never ever think of.

Candace Flowers Best of the Blogs

The most interesting blogs to me was the blog about Michael Phelps and the blog about secrets your dentist does not want you to know. The blog about Michael Phelps caught my attention because it talked about his diet. He has a high calorie diet which is acceptable since he works out alot and runs it off. The blog about the dentist definitely caught my attention because you want a doctor or dentist who is very educated and knows what they are doing. The secrets that were listed shocked me. I am not sure if it was real facts that was stated but they do bring up a concern. Stumble is helpful as a prewriting tool because it allows you to get your thoughts across. As you look at different articles it makes it easier to compare one from another. The most important element of writing to create good essays in helium is to comparing the essays and making sure they have a good introduction and conclusion. Detail is also important in a good essay. Personally I think blogging is a good way to help you to respond to a certain essay or topic. It allows you to express your feelings about a certain topic.

"Best of the Blogs"-Bradley King

After reading through many of the blogs, the most interesting blog to me was Lauren Proffitts blog about the Reality of Winnie the Pooh. This blog interested me not because I am a die hard Winnie the Pooh fan, but what Lauren said in the blog. She stated in her blog how children are innocent. I agree with her to a extent. She then explains that if you tell an adult to put a bear, pig, tiger, rabbit, and a donkey together today that they probably would not come up with some nice child show as Winnie the Pooh. More than likely, and adult mind today would come up with something evil as the picture shows on Laurens blog. Another blog that was interesting to me was the blog about the baby that was born at 21 weeks. The article was about a British woman that had a baby at 21 weeks and the doctors just let the baby die. Because British laws state that babies born before 22 weeks are aloud no medical attention. But this baby only lacked two days of being 22 week. During birth the baby came out crying, and moving both arms and legs. This baby had a chance of living, but instead was left to die in its mothers arms. I think that this was a act of neglect and cruelty to the new born baby; that could still be living today if doctors would have just cared for the baby. After reading this article I gained a topic idea about writing on the broken laws that are found in our world. A law saying that you cannot give a baby medical attention when it has life is crazy. StumbleUpon is a great pre-writing activity that is easy to use. When you get assigned a topic to write on you can go on stumble and choose almost any topic you can think of. By using StumbleUpon you can find useful information about your writing topic by looking at it in many different views. According to my classmates one of the most important element of posting a good Helium blogs is to organize your thoughts well, were your readers are able to follow your ideas. So far I have really enjoyed using blogs as a type writing tool because unlike high school, us as students get to choose what we want to write about. Writing the blogs are helping me develop a interest in writing that I have never had before. I also think by writing blogs every week help me to learn the process of putting my thoughts in writing.

trying to find the ther blogs

im so confused at this point.....
