Stumble--Emily Guenthner 9-12-09

These pictures are incredible I cannot fathom the time it takes to make these pictures out of chalk. I wish that someone from Idaho would do something that amazing. I would recommend these pictures to anyone, they are neat and they will put a smile on anyone’s face no matter what age you are. The sources on this page are very easy to find and they are easy to understand as well. I am not sure who would want to do this because if it rains then all of the drawings are washed away.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#1kENfO/www.designporn.ca/2009/07/21/toast-messenger-by-sasha-tseng//topic:Arts

I love this idea of having a toaster that you can write messages is AWESOME!!! I would buy one of these if you could buy them in a store. I think that all of my classmates would enjoy having one of these toasters in the house. The sources are very easily found they almost stand out, they are all found in the same place. I want to know who can up with this outrageous idea of a toaster that you can write messages on the toast. I would have loved to come up with idea and have a few of these toasters in my dorm if I could.

I think this is very cute, I wish that someone would take me to all of these places. I would recommend this to any of the girls in my class. I mean what girl does not love a romantic getaways with their special someone. I know I would love for my future husband to take me to any of the places in this article. The sources are clearly stated in this article and they are easy to find as well. How did they decide that these places were the best romantic getaways?

president obama speaks to kids.

there was some up rage about president obama making a speech to school children. from what i read i would have to agree with the people that say it is okay for him to do this. i dont see any arguement. i personally am very much for the conservation of our constitution and with that in mind obama can make all the speeches he feels necessary. its not like anyone is being forced to listen to the speeches, Even though his speech is about staying in school and doing what is right. So theres really nothing to lose just something to gain.

Perry- Stumble Upon- The World According to Americans

www.demonbaby.com/pics/americanworld.gif/

The first Site I StumbledUpon was a Picture of the earth, called The World According to Americans. Different countries were labelled to how the person who made the map perceived that Americans perceived the world. Although I do not necessarily hold such opinions, as an English guy I find it interesting to see how other people look at Americans. The picture states that Americans are ignorant, which is not an opinion I share, but I liked the page because I found it quite funny and also interesting to see what the United Kingdoms world would look like.

www.sunbeltsoftware.com/stu/gravemarkers/index.html/

The next site that I StumbledUpon was a site about creative graves. When I first saw this website I was quite shocked! This site shows pictures about different designs on graves, for example there is a Scrabble grave stone and also a man on a motorbike. Initially I found these graves quite sickening and disrespectful. However then I looked at it in a different light, people may have really liked these activities and therefore I suppose it is quite nice to have, very eccentric, but some people may like it.

www.phobiaguide.com//

Finally I StumbledUpon a website which showed all the different types of phobia’s in the world. I found this website very interesting because I never realised that there so many types of phobias. In fact I found this website very informative because I learnt about different types of phobias in the world. This site is different from the others because it does not contain as many pictures and has more information on it.

Melvin-Stumble-Music Game

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#AbfGEu/www.avenueq.com//

As a performing art major, I am a Broadway nerd. Avenue Q is a hilarious musical about society but it is all played by puppets. This website tells you everything you need to know about the show, its cast, and how to get tickets. Unfortunately, Avenue Q is closing on Broadway this Sunday; the last performance will be at 7pm. The show is still performing in London. I would like to know where else this show will be preformed and how to purchase the rights to perform the play at a school or community theater.
http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#5ruuWk/www.yetanotherdot.com/asp/80s.html/

This website is so much fun! It is a game where you fill in the missing words from song titles. There are two versions of the game, 80’s music and 90’s music. This game is really just a fun way to pass the time and test your knowledge of music. Once you submit your answers for scoring it gives you the correct answers, but it does not always give you the title and name of the artist. Apparently, I do not know any music from the 90’s, I only got one answer right. I would like to know the names and artist of all the songs. I would also like to maybe create a few different games that focus on different genres of music.

Teens, this site will answer everything you will ever want to know. All the embarrassing questions that you do not want to ask your parents or an adult, this website has the answers. Like the website says, this should not take the place of talking to an adult or doctor about serious issues. I would recommend this website to any young adult that would like answers to their questions. The website is funded by Atlantic Health and has won many awards for the work that it has done to help teens. I would like to know if North Carolina has a similar website so we can support it locally.

Dance like no one is watching

The article I read is called “dance like no one is watching”. I like the article and I want to share it with my classmates because it says that the time to be happy is right now! We can’t wait until something happened to be happy. Sometimes in our life we say stuff like “when I get married I will be happy” or “when I graduate I will be happy”, but we don’t have time enough to be just waiting for something to happen. We need to dance like no one is watching and enjoy our life now, because tomorrow can be too late to do it. I think this should be the thought for all of us. “There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way”.

Helium #2:Study Habits-Bradley King

How many students have trouble studying? I would say about all of us do. Well I found this site on Helium that gives some really good pointers and tips about how to study. I reviewed a few essays about study habits and time management. From reading this article I learned that the reason students have trouble making themselves study is because your learning doesn't mean anything to you. And when the material becomes boring you don't want to look at it till the night before the test. The best essay I read was great, the author gave very specific reasons why it is hard to make yourself study. And then would give you very useful tips to solve each reason. For the lesser essays the author never got to the point about how to develop good study habits and time management skills. The author mainly wrote about what made studying hard for he/she. If I were going to write an essay on this prompt I would start out by stating some of the problems that I face when trying to study, and try to give solutions to all of them. I would also try to give some ideas on ways to manage your time. Because I know its hard. Take me for instance I have class everyday, a work study job, and I am on the track team. So even if you didn't mind studying you may just have problems find time to.

Things that make you go aahh

I liked this stumble because i love cute little pictures
of cute little animals, but the only thing is they did not really have a whole lot of good pictures the ones i have up here are in my mind the best. I hope things start to vary however cause i have run into quite a few stumbles like these.
Bear Humor
Yet another animal stumble but i saw this and couldn't help but laugh and felt this would be funny to blog about. you should really go to the site and look at the all the picutes cause there are four of this that show you how this bear got to this point. It really made me think how or why this bear would think that bird house or feeder would have something it wanted or something that could fill it up. On top of that i think it is kinda crazy that this rope is holding the bear, most likely being a simple knot at each end and its a pretty thin looking rope.

Trilobis 65 Floating Home
I thought this was one of the coolest things I have seen in the boating world in a good while. coming from Hilton head island i know a thing or two about boats I love boats and plan to own and potentially live on a boat some day, this looks like a really cool and innovative creation and addition to the boating world. I personally thing they should have a bed room in the under water room, it seems to be just a seating area, but would make an awsome bedroom. with a crazy night light outside shining on the sea around you. From what i have seen and looked up on the side it does not seem that this boat has yet to been actually build and sold and put in the water. then again I'm sure there is a rich guy somewhere on one of this right now.

The mapping of the cat brain:

This image is just funny to look at. Reading everything that is mapped out in the brain is very funny. If someone just needed a good laugh to make their day better then this is something I would tell someone to look at.

You get better sleep when you sleep alone:
A recent study shows that you get better sleep if you sleep alone at night. Sleeping with someone can actually lead to alot of health problems. This is why I found this one interesting. I never knew that sleeping with someone at night could lead to such serious problems. I would suggest this one. Also it is cited well. It talks about the doctor and the schools where the research was done at.

Theory of Human Evolution could be wrong:

Professor David Lordkipanidze found unearthed six ancient skeletons dating back 1.8 million years in the hills of Georgia which threaten to overturn the theory of human evolution. The pictures that they have are amazing of the skulls. The article, is a good reference. And is recommended for others to read. I liked this one because its interesting to see and hear about the past of humans.

this picture is very funny and interesting. it shows you how intelligent babies really are, and the we as grown up underestimate them. her you see a baby you was probly breast fed react to something he is use to seeing. and its not wrong in anyway, becasue it shows you how smart and that he can comprehen things at an early age.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#1dTpJ5/www.guidespot.com/guides/cupcakes_look_like_food/
on this website your mind well play a trick on you. sure it may look like your tipically foods but there is a lilttle twist to it. this website shows you that u can never judge a book by its cover. The food that is on this page is made out of cupcakes, yes i said cupcakes. i think this is the most talented thing i have ever seen, dealing withg food.

Toast messenger, Heaven & hell Cake,14 unusual & creative slippers-Bre Ashley

1.http://http//www.stumbleupon.com/s/#1kENfO/www.designporn.ca/2009/07/21/toast-messenger-by-sasha-tseng//

2.The fact that the toaster can toast message on to the bread itself. 3. So they can see how cool it is to write message on toast. 4. The web page is average it could have been better there wasnt enough information on the message toaster. 5. How would the message toaster work?

1.http://http//www.stumbleupon.com/s/#2hTtfx/www.saveur.com/article/Recipes/Heaven-and-Hell-Cake/

2.How the cake is made intrest me the most. 3. I would recommend a classmate to this page if they are interested interested in making cakes.4. The sources are pretty good on this site because it gives you step by step direction on making different types of cake. 5. Which cake would be the best for a party?

2.All the many differnt styles of slippers especially the dusting slippers. 3. If a classmate is looking for a new pair of slippers, the 14 creative ones should be first in mind. 4. They are cited pretty good cause they give you a variety of slippers to choose from. 5. What gave the creator the idea to make a slipper a dust mop?

I stumble across this article, and thought it was very interesting because I love dog. It's made me think of my dog back home. The lady who own the dog talks about how great a dog Skyler is, and how she run with her everyday. I would recommend this to my classmates, because maybe one day you want to put you dog or animal on this particular website. You could tell us a little information about your animal. I don't think the page was well cited. A question I would have is, how could you contact the website to get your animals information on the computer.

This next thing I stumble upon was very interesting and new. It was a sentence that kept adding a extra letter as the sentence progress on. I would recommend this to my classmate if they were into that weird magic stuff. The page was not well cited at all. A question I would have is how did that person come up with something like that, and they really must have a lot of time on there hands.
This last stumble I came across was very good and interesting. The purpose of this illustration was to let people know, that you got to work hard in life if you really want to succeed at your goals. Such as study hard for a test, picking in the extra time to write a essay and also just being a good perosn in general. I would recommend this to my classmates because these pictures make a great point about life. The question I would ask is how did they come up with that fantastic idea.

A Weapon to End War

This article that I stumbled upon reely caught my attention concerning war. I love history that involves war and weapons. In this article the 'Peace Beam' is the subject of the article. The time frame is based around the late 1930's

Binary Number Converter

This stumble was a great stumble I believe because now if you come across any type of binary computer language you can translate it into english so u can read it. This converter can become very usefull at times if you just see a lot of numbers andyou have no idead what it is saying, you can just go to this site and convert it.

Funny Signs

When I came across this web page it made me laugh. It is suprising how creative some people are to make fun of other people. Some are apropriate and some are not, but they are all funnny to me.

Week 2 stumble-Will Chase

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#2KjouJ/www.behance.net/Gallery/made-of-wood/272859/topic:Sculpting
This article was interesting because the sculptures were a combination of trees and body parts. I would recommend this article to people because it is weird and interesting. The article says the pictures are from Oper Dahan's portfolio.
http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#9U0das/www.toxel.com/inspiration/2009/08/24/14-unusual-and-creative-slippers//topic:Crafts
This article interesting because it showed unusual and creative slippers.
I would recommend this article to someone who likes wacky new things. This page is not sited very well. It only says that the pictures are from Toxel.com
http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#21iSAu/acidcow.com/pics/3706-new_animal_photos_20_pics.html/topic:Animals
This article is interesting because it shows cool pictures of different kinds of animals. I would recommend this article to people who like animals. This page is not sited at all.

Animals and ancient dentistry-Justin Katz

I thought it was interesting how a lady can live with 11 big cats successfully without being harmed. I would recommend a classmate would look at this because it is funny how she lives with all these animals. The sources however, aren't cited very well. A question I would have about this topic is how much money does she spend on feeding her pets.
What I found interesting about this was how friendly the wild koalas were with people. I would recommend a classmate look at this because it is so unreal how friendly and trusting the wild koalas are with people. The sources are cited fairly well. My question about this topic would be are the koalas still being friendly.
What I found interesting about this was how long ago this was and how they found ways to protect and repair their teeth. I would recommend a classmate look at this because its cool how they used to use gems to fix teeth. The sources are cited well. My question would be if they have found any ancient dentist tools.

James Bond-Daniel Craig

I reviewed the new James Bond actor-Daniel Craig. The article talks about how Daniel Craig has adapted to the role of James Bond. I learned that the author quite liked the new 'tough guy' image that Craig brings to the character, and this is prefered to Pierce Brosnan's more 'smooth' image as Bond. The writer was good in that she referred Craig to Brosnan, and compared their pro's and con's, making the story less biased. However, he clearly favoured Craig to Brosnan, as he talked about all his good attributes, claiming 'his performance is nearly perfect' which is an extremely high compliment. I think overall, the author is slighlty too biased towards Craig, and doesn't write enough about Brosnan's better attributes. If I were to write an essay in response, I would make it a more well - balanced arguement, although in the end I would still favour Craig as the better Bond.

This website is just a list of all different types of phobias or fears. I would recommend it if
someone wanted to figure a name for a phobia they have.

This website is a gong and you hit the mallet and it hits the gong. It is ok for relieving stress but then it gets extremely annoying so i would not suggest it.

addictordie.com/games/cursorinvisible.php?fullscreen=1/
This website is a game and your cursor dissappears and you try to hit as many targets that you can without knowing where your cursor is, i found it entertaining and i would suggest for if someone is bored.

http://stumbleupon.com/s/#5KLKMd/www.photopharm.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/2745801051_5cf49c4108_o.jpg/

My first stumble I had come across was like a picture of Heaven.
Sunsets are always relaxing to look at, but this particular one has something that draws you to it. It could be that it has an amazing view of the beach. Or perhaps the feeling that you are the only one for miles? Either way, the picture is absolutely breath taking. It reminds me of back home in Florida when I would spend spring break at the beach and pick the highest point I could get to on the highest building just to watch the sunset. As if nobody was around and I was the only being left on the planet, it felt like I could be anywhere or do anything. I wonder if the person who took this picture felt the same, or if they had any similar feelings for that matter. I wonder if they felt like they too had seen a piece of Heaven...

http://www.stumbleupon/s/#8Qoac^/www.123opticalillusions.com/pages/double-image-illusion.php/

Optical illusions are always fun to look at because they have a weird way of playing games with your mind. Often you have to have a twisted sense to get some of these illusions. In this illusion I stumbled upon, there is two sides to the concept. When you first look at the picture, you will either see nine dolphins swimming. Or you will see a couple in an "intimmate" position. It explains that young children do not see the intimate couple because they have not been exposed to such posture. I have a thought on this comment. Even though the child might not have experienced this posture, might they see the couples image if they have seen the intimate position before?

http://stumbleupon.com/s/#2g1qCp/www.zefrank.com/flowers//

This was a very neat stumble because it allows you to create your own flower. I know it sounds amazing right? I think it is a great idea because just like people, every flower is different. People can go to this website and create a flower according to the mood they are in or one for every person they are thinking about. It can be used as a theraputic tool to express emotions people feel and can be used everyday over and over again.

Stumble Upon WK2-Kasey Talley

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#1wIb2m/andyslife.org/games/sand.php/- Hell of Sand! It amazed me how intrigued I was by this simple game that has no real objective or goal. The basic task is to make an obsticle coarse for the flow of substances to go. You are able to pick any path inwhich you would like for them to flow and also you can pick different contents to pour. It takes a few mintues to really understand what you are doing but after you mess around with it for a few you start to get the hang of it.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#1FhFTI/www.demonbaby.com/pics/americanworld.gif/ - I started laughing as soon as I saw and read this map. This map depicts thoughts of over 80% of the U.S. population thinks about different parts of the world. George Bush also pops into my mind when I see this picture because "A-mar-ca" looks at the world in an ignorant way. It depicts how lazy we are and stupid. I find this picture funny but also upsetting because this represents a bad depiction of America .

http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#1TVb4H/uploads.ungrounded.net/221000/221483_Play.swf/
This is by far the coolest thing I have found on blogger! I was blown away by how intriguing it was. It first starts out with an outline of a door then it opens and the out line for a man comes out from there it turns into him tapping his foot which turns into four guys doing different motions while making sound which create a really cool beat. They took basic movements that make sound like clapping your hands together, or tapping your foot basic moves put together to make a cool beat. I found this video really fascinating.

Erica N Golden-Jones ( Stumble Upon)

This picture is absolutely beautiful It seems like it would be a very pretty sunset. This picture gives me a relaxed feeling that makes me think. The details in the picture does it a great deal of justice.I appreciate art work like this. The water seems to be calm like you could sit there for hours just to clear your mind. The fact that the picture is in a mood of darkness is sets a very subtle tone , not one you would normally associate with a picture this beautiful.
This photographic is the true definition of picture perfect it looks like something that could have been put together for a fourth of July fireworks show. Its a very simple photo that catches your eye and makes you wonder how the picture got to be where it is today and who originally thought of something so exquisite.http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#AombUa/images-1.redbubble.com/img/art/size:xlarge/view:main/238567-12-3d-jellyfish-thing.jpg/topic:Photography

This article interested me because it is trying to prove this "gel" that people are saying can be injected into soldiers brains to help with traumatic injuries after returning from war. There are many other possibilites that soldiers can turn to before this option but it is an option. The article did not say whether or not it worked or was reliable but that is what further research is for. Its purpose is to kill the cells that have been damaged and encourage growth of healthy ones.

So this man walks into a Bank of America wanting to cash a check for his wife using her account which is totally legal. The teller asks for ID proof and the man galdly obliges. Even after 2 ID proofs the man refused to cash the check. The Teller asks for the mans fingerprints and sadly, the man is armless. He has no arms! After this discrimination he left, being denied access to cash a simple check. Thankfully, the bank called later to apologize.

Growing older does make you happier. Just think about it. No more work, retirement plans, traveling, no school, no place to be except for the doctors office occasionally and nobody to worry about but yourself and what your going to do within the next hour. That would be the life if you ask me. So why not want to grow older? Its great and have alot of good, healthy affects on your physical and emotional state of mind.
