Three slices of French toast topped with powdered sugar. Three chocolate-chip pancakes (Health Blog). Could you image trying to eat that much food everyday? People raise the question is it unhealthy to eat this much? But sports medicine doctors say yes it is if you do not burn it off. But for Phelps, his vigorous workouts demand the extra calories. 2. The topics that I read about were: dogs and what they eat, interesting things that happened on your birthday, rare species of animals, how to provide for a family on a small budget.
3. I found that all of the articles that I read showed a lot about the Author and they all did a pretty good job on adding in information about each of their topics. Granted that some authors did a better job than others. I really enjoyed reading Cherilyn Hallyburton's article on things that happened on your date of birth. I agree with her that everyone should check this site out and learn about what happened on the day that they were brought into this amazing world of ours. I also enjoyed reading Candace Flowers' take on the Purina dog food diet, and how the dog from the article would only eat the Purina dog food and not any other brand. I think that the dog is crazy how it would know the difference between what food it was given. The owner is very impressed with the dog's ability to tell the good from the not so good. Justin Katz wrote on the this article about animals that people had probably never seen before in their lives, which I have to agree as true because when I went to look at the website, I only knew like two or three of the animals that were shown. This surprised me because I am pretty good with animals and knowing which species that it is, but these were so new and rare that I had no idea where to even start. I think that most anyone would enjoy reading this article.
4. The writing style was different for each of the authors, I found that some were very smart in the way that they would word things, or that the flow of some of the blogs was not at smooth or clear which made it harder to read and understand. I felt that some people just rushed through their blogs and did not take time to read and get the meaning of what they were stumbling.
5. By doing this I found that it helps more than just me, I think it gives people a chance to see what they are really interested in and what they would want to write about in the future. I enjoy doing the blogs and I think it gives us practice on topics that could be used for another essay if needed.

I think everyone should see this page because its funny seeing what people can be scared of, for example genophobia, which is fear of sex. There are no sources cited on this page. This is a very interesting game where you are escaping from an unknown location and are trying to jump over random obstacles and from building to building. This page was interesting to me because despite Australia's Steve Hooker injury, he still claimed the gold during the world championships in the pole vault. Doing this shows how courageous and willing Steve was to be the best in the world.What really got me interested though was that I did a similar thing this past track season, just not on such high a level. I ran from March through May on a fractured ankle. Despite the pain I felt I did not want to give my season up. Because I knew that it was my year to break some records, and win some races. I recommend this page to athletes that need encouragement to fight through injuries, and adversity that you will face as an athlete. This was one of the best cited pages that I have read so far. Some things are truly amazing and of some are just funny to read. There is one like ‘ When Albert Einstein died, his final words died with him.’ This one made me laugh. I watched a video with a guy scratching his raccoons arms.I feel llike thats out of the ordinary. I read about Photoshop efeects and how to munipulate them. I personally love photoshop , its interesting and it keeps you busy. I used to want to be a photographer so this wasa definitely one of my areas of interest. Melvin- Helium- Textbooks

For this Helium blog, I am reviewing the topic “Finding Cheap College Textbooks.” I found the highest rated article very helpful and informative. It gives great tips on how to save money buying textbooks and how to make more money selling them. The higher rate article was very detailed and extremely informative. It included websites that would buy back text books, the article even list what countries the websites accepted payment from. This author was very straight forward with her answers and followed a clear structure. The lowest rated article was still informative, but not very straight forward. There is a lack of structure; it almost feels like the person wrote the paper as like they would speak. Not to mention that there are a lot of misspelled words and grammatical errors. If I where to write an essay on this topic, I would try to be as clear and informative as possible. I believe that the clearer and easier the essay is, the more helpful it will be to the audience.

I really liked this site because I have been dating the same person for four years and we have ran out of things to do on dates. These also seem to be a way to really get to know the other person. You could never really get to know your date by going to the movies. By doing some of these ideas two people could really talk with each other. This was incredibly interesting to me. I found out a lot about myself and other people. I always thought that I would be the good Samaritan and be the one to never conform but now I'm not so sure what I would do. I am not different from everyone else in the world so what makes me think that I would stop to help a lady lying in the road or not knowingly torture a person just because I was afraid of what would happen to me. 3. Stumble is helpful as a prewriting tool because you get to look at articles under a topic that interests you. It also helps you show others what interests you. There were a lot of stumble blogs that were interesting to me but the top three blogs were by Jacob Darling, Ryan Sparks and Eric Jackson. The stumble by Jacob Darling was about puppies. I liked this one because I am interested in learning as much as I can about dogs. The stumble by Ryan Sparks was about Einstein le perroquet, a car, and birthday facts. The perroquet was amusing and I did not think a perroquet could learn that much. The car is unnatural and it looks like it is turned sideways. I would like to know the same thing that Ryan Sparks would like to know about this car, how does it work? The birthday facts was interesting because I did not know I could find out that much about my birthday. The stumble by Eric Jackson was about an interesting phrase, a blooper video and a museum of architecture. The phrase was interesting and true. The video was funny and very distracting to someone who is trying to write and watch at the same time. The museum was really cool. I liked all the windows and the construction of the building. It is interesting because it is not something you would see in everyday society.
4. I read a lot of helium blogs but there were only three that stuck out as saying something about writing elements. The three blogs were by Derk Bouwman, Kayla Caldwell, and Young koun Jeon. Derk Bouwman's blog shows that it would be useful to create a mnemonic to remember things. I agree with this. In the article, it shows how helpful it is. Kayla Caldwell's blog shows that a good way to write an essay is to write it as a play. That is also helpful and it proves helpful in the article also. According to Young koun Jeon, having good grammar and vocabulary are important when writing and understanding an essay. This is also true because if the reader cannot understand the essay then they will not pay any attention to it.

This to me is a very interesting representation of the innocence of children. It makes me think about how children do not see the evil in the world. Not that I am saying animals are evil just that this is only and artistic representation of it. If you were to tell an adult that you were going to put a bear, a pig. a tiger, a rabbit, and a donkey together they would never think that the animals would be best of friends as it is in the television show "Winne the Pooh". An adult would think of something close to the scenario above. This is because this would be a way more likely outcome but would it not be nice to still think like a child; to be innocent and not see the bad in things. I would suggest this to a class mate because I would like them to think about what this means to how we are raised to see things. I also, can't help but wonder how the pig crawled up there and is hanging onto the bear.

This week I read about “The environmental impact of cell phones” and I think it is an interesting subject because 61% of the Earth’s population have a cell phone. The average use of each one of these phones is only one year and the energy we use to charge our phones and the CO2 emission are high numbers. So we have to think a little bit more about the environment and start recycling our phones and not letting our chargers remain plugged in while not being used in order to diminish the energy wasted. So, taking care of these little things can help our planet and in one year we will have saved enough energy to power 28 thousand homes.

In Helium, this week, I chose to read about how much parents should be involved in kid’s homework. That is an interesting topic because we had this experience as children and most of us will be on the other side, as parents. The best article was the best one because the woman who wrote it knew how to organize her ideas well and was able to show her points of view very clearly. She argues well to defend her position. I also read an intermediate article and it is probably an intermediate one because the ideas are more confused and who wrote it gave only one example about the topic in the whole text. For me it is not the best way to convince someone about something. The worse article, according to the Helium website, has informal language and maybe that is why it was ranked as the worse one. If I was to write about this topic I would say that parents have to be involved in kid’s homework as far as they can and they think it is necessary.

Jones Stumble Summer

For my first article I reviewed was called "fun in the tub with bath tube paint" at http://www.burbmom.net/fun-in-the-tub-with-bathtub-paint/. It is a recipe about how to make finger paint with dish detergent, corn starch, boiling water and food coloring. It is an easy way to let children have fun in the bathtub and clean it at the same time. This would be a fun activity if you were babysitting and had to give smaller kids baths or for parents. The second article i found was called "ten rules for being human" and was basically wise and somewhat funny rules to being human. My favorite on was "Other people are merely mirrors of you. I thought it was an interesting way to look at people, and had never thought about it. I recommend this article to someone who is interested in learning a little about how everyone thinks in a humorous way. The source was the my source company. Birds on a wire, I think what everyone else thinks 1) I'm going to get pooped on, or 2) Why do they do that? But after this video I think that I will view birds on a wire much differently. Who knew that someone would be ingenious enough to actually look at birds on a wire and see music? I know that I would never see that. It was really fascinating for me since while throughout middle and high school I played the flute. I really enjoyed music and I loved to be able to play it. I think that for someone to be able to look at something as simple as birds sitting on a phone wire and make a piece of music out of it takes some real talent and I eye for music! I wish I had that skill! I think that a classmate would enjoy this stumble if they really appreciate music or just love music in general. This guy is great he starts out with a wad of dough and stretches pulls stretches pulls then twists and god knows what else but the guy ends up with thousands of little tasty noodles. British law states that if a baby is born before 22 weeks, then you cannot try and save it. This baby was 2 days shy of 22 weeks. The mom held the baby in her arms and watched it die after doctors refused to save him. This article should act as an awareness to doctors and "laws" who think it is okay to not try and save a human being that is clearly alive.

This article caught my attention because it is really hard to be cordial and friends with your exes. I don't know what it is but it's just always going to be awkward until you both come to some kind of agreement or peace with eachother. My favorite point in the article was "acquantices with history". I agree with this and then I don't. For example, if you were in a relationship for 1 year and then you break up. Its hard to even talk so being an aquantice can be hard for a while but then once you are friends then it might be easier to say this. This article is great for couples to read together so that both man and woman know what to expect if something was to happen.

Im not so sure about this article but it would be worth doing more research on and if it really was true. This man alledegely swam the amazon river only drinking two bottles of wine a day. He is an alcoholic who claims that all he needed was to prove to himself that he could beat the amazon river with his beer belly and glasses of wine.

when i was little i remember watching Clifford the Big Red Dog, and i always thought a dog could never get that big. the dogs on this page may not be as big as Clifford but they are still gigantic. i that this was so cool, i mean i never seen as dog this size throughout my life time. it's so unordinary but its so amazing at the same time.

well stumbling i ran across the most mind blowing thing. on this website there is a man who creates thing out of wood. the picture on the left is one of the things that he made.i thought this was so amazing and interesting, because there not many people that create such extravagant things out of wood. the fact that he was able to get the piece of art work to float on water is also amazing. i thought this would be a good blog because it's unique and different and outstanding work by an human being.
